Qigong Workshop with Master Feng Xiuqian

We recently discovered some lost video footage of workshops from 2011 taught by Master Feng Xiuqian, the daughter of the late Hunyuan Taiji founder Feng Zhiqiang, during a visit to the United States. Xiuqian, who lives in Beijing, is a dynamic and engaging teacher of the material she learned at her father’s knee. During this session at the Hunyuan Academy of St. Louis, stltaiji.com, she demonstrates and explains the “gong” exercises that are foundational to developing  the internal power that results when mind, energy and body all move in harmony.

 Taiji Workshop with Master Feng Xiuqian

In this video, Feng Xiuqian, the daughter of the late Hunyuan Taiji founder Feng Zhiqiang, teaches the 24-movement set at a workshop at the Hunyuan Academy of St. Louis, stltaiji.com. Typically the first set learned by students in the Hunyuan system, the 24 is rich with techniques for defense and attack. It also is an effective exercise for building health. The movements are big, round, relaxed and continuous, promoting the unimpeded flow of energy throughout the body.
